Bush jokes about America's pollution

Apparently, President Bush today jokingly bid his fellow G8 leaders farewell with the line, "goodbye from the world's biggest polluter." This comment supposedly shocked those in attendance, presumably including China's president Hu Jintao. That the Chinese president was shocked by this joke should come as no surprise. His own country is on the verge of claiming that title from the U.S. (according to the New York Times)
